Steve Broach, Disabled Children & Young People: The Law in a Day
We are really pleased to share with you that we are hosting barrister Steve Broach for his Disabled Children & Young People: The Law in a Day workshop on Monday 25th June.
The training is very interactive and there are lots of opportunities for people to ask general questions, although Steve cannot of course advise on individual cases during the training. Steve will cover the key legal duties in relation to health, education and social care for children and young people aged 0-25. Issues covered will include social care assessments and rights to short breaks and other services, Education Health and Care needs assessments and plans and the rights of children with complex health needs. Steve will also cover broader issues of general relevance, such as discrimination law and duties around fair consultation.
The workshop will be held at The Holiday Inn in Bolton town centre and run from 10.00am until 2.00pm, with a light lunch provided.
Places are limited, to book your place click here to be directed to eventbrite where you can book your free ticket.
