We are extremely pleased to announce the first 3 dates for our new SEN Support Workshop.
Thursday 25th January @ The Bolton Hub 10:00-11:30
Tuesday 13th February @ The Holiday Inn 18:00-19:30
Saturday 17th March @ The Holiday Inn 11:00-12:30
These workshops have been written specifically for Bolton parents and carers of children and young people who receive ‘SEN Support.’ We have had a lot of feedback from parents that when the SEND Reforms were launched in 2014 there was a considerable amount of emphasis on EHC Plans and little information about what it means when your child/young person is receiving SEN Support. With that in mind BPCC have collaborated with the Information Advisory Service (IAS) to produce this workshop.
If SEN Support is an unfamiliar term and you are not sure if your child/young person receives SEN Support, it used to be called School Action or School Action+
This workshop will talk you through what SEN Support means, how this framework is delivered in schools and also how you should be involved in the process as a parent or carer. It will also ensure you gain an understanding of the legal aspects of SEN Support.
If you would like to book a place on the workshop, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
