Venue & how to get there

The Holiday Inn is located at 1 Higher Bridge Street, Bolton, BL1 2EW.

If you are coming by car, we have prepared a map with local car parks on it, all within a few minutes walk click here. Once you open the map, click on a red flag to find out more about the car park location. The Holiday Inn does have a car park, but it is only small, so it is best to plan to park elsewhere.

The hotel car park has some blue badge parking spaces, these are available on a first-come-first-served basis and cannot be reserved. From the basement car park, the hotel can be accessed via a lift. For any specific access information, please contact the hotel directly.

Coming by bus? The nearest stops are Knowsley Street – a 3 minute walk and Bow Street, also a 3 minute walk.

Local Offer Zone
We have gathered together lots of information from local organisations that offer opportunities for families with children and young people with SEND.

Staff from Bolton’s Local Offer will be on hand and they will also be giving you the opportunity to complete a survey about your experience of SEND in Bolton.

This area will run alongside Bolton Councils Families Information Service.

We’ve also gathered some information from further afield that we think you might find useful – including things like CEA Cards and Radar keys.

Goody Bag
For full day ticket holders your premium goody back will be available for collection from 13:00. We have designed a unique bag that you will be able to make your own mark on! Check back for a sneak peek over the next few days!
Blue badge parking is available in the hotel car park. There are several spaces, although not reservable.

The hotel is then accessed via lift to the ground floor.

The main areas we are using are on level ground. However 3 of the rooms on the ground floor do have a couple of steps to the entrance.

2 workshops will be held in rooms on the lower-ground floor which does not have lift access. We are using all possible function rooms within the Holiday Inn, so this was unavoidable, we hope it doesn’t cause any problems. The steps are quite shallow and carpeted.

Can I bring my child or young person with me?

Our event has been especially designed with parent carers in mind.

Whilst we have been planning it we have had the theme “treat yourself” in mind – we want to offer parent carers the opportunity to take a break from their responsibilties and relax for a few hours away from everything!

With this in mind, we made the decision to issue tickets for admission to parent carers only and we ask that you do not bring children with you, and to make alternative arrangements for any young people that you may be responsible for.
